Bac Ninh: Completing infrastructure, creating momentum for development

BAC NINH - Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 is one of the investors undertaking many key projects of the province. Over the past 8 months of 2025, the unit has strived to overcome difficulties, determined to speed up progress, and put the projects into use soon, thereby contributing to the completion of the technical and social infrastructure system, meeting the development requirements of the province.

Invest heavily in health care and education

In 2025, Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 was assigned to manage 20 projects, with a total allocated capital of more than 1,198 billion VND. These are all important projects in improving the quality of people's lives, from health care , education to technical infrastructure and urban traffic.

In the civil project group, the most prominent are works serving the health and education sectors, specifically: Renovation and upgrading of Que Vo and Tien Du Medical Centers (each center has a scale of 300 beds); procurement of medical equipment; expansion of high schools: Han Thuyen, Ngo Gia Tu, Le Van Thinh; construction and renovation of Hoang Quoc Viet and Thuan Thanh High Schools No. 3; investment in phase 2 of Bac Ninh Medical College...

At the Le Van Thinh High School expansion project, after 8 months of implementation, the 4-storey classroom block with a floor area of ​​over 4,000m², 16 classrooms and a connecting house have completed the rough construction. Currently, 40 technical staff and workers have been mobilized and divided into many teams, focusing on paving, painting and roofing. To shorten the progress, many items such as railings and doors are pre-processed at the factory, ready to be installed as soon as completed. The contractor is determined to complete the project by the end of December, 5 months ahead of schedule.

The second phase of the Bac Ninh Medical College investment project, including a 9-storey administrative building (9,000m² floor), a 2-storey auditorium and auxiliary items, is also being rushed into construction. Up to now, the project has reached about 85% of the volume, expected to be completed by the end of October this year, 2 months earlier than the original target. According to the investor's representative, putting the project into use early will contribute to meeting the timely demand for teaching and learning facilities.

Along with that, during the year, the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 completed, handed over and put into use the renovation and upgrading projects of Gia Binh and Luong Tai Medical Centers and 11 commune and ward medical stations. Last July and August, two major items - the 9-storey building of the Yen Phong Medical Center upgrade project and the Thuan Thanh Medical Center expansion project were also completed.

Development of transport and urban infrastructure

In addition to the fields of health and education, the Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 also implements many important technical infrastructure and traffic projects, creating momentum for connecting and developing urban areas and industrial parks. Typical routes are: Provincial Road 285B, 295C connecting Bac Ninh with the new National Highway 3; Road 277B connecting Ha Bac Bridge with Ring Road 4; Ly Anh Tong Street extension; technical infrastructure of Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Center; route to Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater...

By the end of August 2025, the value of the accepted volume of works under construction managed by the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 reached more than 268 billion VND, equivalent to 22.4% of the capital plan.

These projects, when completed, will contribute to expanding urban space, while increasing regional connectivity and promoting socio-economic development in the entire province. However, the progress of some projects is still facing difficulties due to land clearance problems and lack of filling materials, especially on routes 285B, 295C and Ly Anh Tong Street.

By the end of August 2025, the value of the accepted volume of the projects under construction managed by the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 reached more than 268 billion VND, equivalent to 22.4% of the capital plan. Although this figure is not high, mainly because many new projects are in the rough construction stage, so the accepted value is not large, it clearly reflects the efforts of the authorities in speeding up the implementation progress.

Accelerate to the finish line

To ensure progress and quality, the Bac Ninh Province No. 2 Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board has directed technical staff to closely monitor the site and promptly resolve difficulties. Contractors are required to commit to progress and speed up the construction of many items in parallel, completing the project while deploying technical infrastructure.

From now until the end of the year, the Board will focus on projects that can be completed in 2025, while actively coordinating with localities to resolve problems in site clearance. In addition, procedures for starting new projects will also be urgently completed for early implementation as planned.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Chien, Deputy Director of the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2, emphasized: “Completing key projects is a continuous task from now until the end of the year. We will focus on maximum human resources, closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities, strive to disburse 100% of allocated capital, put the project into use on time, and effectively promote public investment capital.”

Despite many difficulties, with the determination of the leadership, staff and coordination from localities and related units, the Bac Ninh Province Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board No. 2 is gradually bringing the projects to the finish line. The completed civil, educational, medical and transport infrastructure projects will not only improve the living, studying and health care conditions of the people, but also create an important premise for Bac Ninh to develop sustainably and modernly, worthy of being a major industrial and urban center of the country.
