Quick information from localities, by 6am on August 21, Tay Yen Tu commune had flooded 16/16 overflows of 3 villages, causing local isolation; traffic routes in the area are at high risk of landslides.

Water has now flooded into some households in Thong Nhat village and the risk continues to rise. The Commune Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue has urgently supported people in implementing measures to respond to floods in the spirit of "4 on-site".
In the communes of Son Dong, Yen Dinh, Tuan Dao, Dai Son... the flood is also rising rapidly. Local authorities have promptly informed the people to proactively take response measures; mobilized forces to support households living along rivers, streams, and areas at risk of landslides to temporarily evacuate people and property to safety.

As of 7am, landslides had occurred at several points on Highway 31 and Provincial Road 291, with the risk of further damage. Local leaders are urgently coordinating with authorities to mobilize forces to deal with the situation.
