On the evening of September 30, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that due to the continued heavy rains caused by the consequences of storm No. 10 affecting the study and transportation system in the capital, under the direction of the City's leaders, educational institutions across the city will be closed tomorrow (October 1). Teachers can flexibly teach online to students.

Previously, the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also requested heads of units to closely monitor the developments and consequences of storm No. 10; regularly monitor warnings, forecasts and developments of weather and natural disasters to proactively prevent, respond and overcome the consequences of natural disasters and incidents.

Based on the weather situation, proactively review and prepare plans to deploy natural disaster response measures according to the "four on-site" principle, suitable to the school's conditions, review the green tree system on campus, if detecting perennial trees at risk of falling, it must be reported for timely handling.

At the same time, schools must have plans and promptly move assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, records, books to safe places, ensuring no damage, breakage, or loss, and minimizing damage caused by storms.

In educational institutions affected by heavy rains and floods where students cannot go to school to study and live, it is necessary to proactively develop appropriate plans and forms of study. Conduct environmental sanitation, clean classrooms, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, ensure safety, cleanliness, and prevent epidemics in schools.

According to records, currently, there are a number of educational institutions such as Truong Dinh High School, Nguyen Sieu Secondary & High School, Phan Huy Chu - Dong Da High School and many other schools that have announced the change of status from in-person learning to online learning during days of heavy rain and deep flooding to facilitate students and parents.
