Bac Ninh launches patriotic emulation movement, aiming to become a centrally-run city

On September 22, the first Patriotic Emulation Congress of Bac Ninh province for the period 2025-2030 took place in Bac Ninh province.

At the congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized that before the merger, the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang had a tradition of solidarity and cohesion.

After the merger, there are many more advantages and development potentials in terms of economy, culture and society. The development space is expanded, promising to become a place of inter-regional connection, a growth pole of the Red River Delta.

Appreciating the development aspirations, tasks and solutions of the first Patriotic Emulation Congress of Bac Ninh province, the Vice President believes that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Ninh province will continue to promote historical, cultural values ​​and human factors.

Continue to develop rapidly and sustainably and comprehensively improve people's lives, while firmly ensuring national defense and security and improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs activities.

Bac Ninh province strives to become a centrally-run city before 2030 in the direction of prosperity, civilization, modernity, and richness in Kinh Bac cultural identity.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to truly lead, direct, and direct the emulation movement to resolve bottlenecks and effectively carry out tasks and breakthroughs.

In particular, the Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee noted that emulation and rewards must be directed towards solving difficult tasks, removing bottlenecks, hot and complicated issues of the industry, agencies, units, localities or practical issues arising in life.

In addition, it is necessary to promote propaganda, replicate advanced models, set examples of good people and good deeds to promote and encourage patriotic emulation movements, contributing to creating motivation to compete to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Patriotic emulation is not only a great job

Within the framework of the congress, Senior Lieutenant Hoang Van Trung - Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Bac Ninh Provincial Police - shared that in September 2025, when storm Yagi made landfall, causing heavy rain in many places, the unit received orders to support people in Nam Duong commune.

At that time, 3 officers and soldiers quickly approached the scene, but the terrain was narrow, there were many obstacles, and floodwaters from the Luc Nam River rose rapidly, so deploying canoes and motorboats was not feasible.

In that situation, the police quickly deployed a rope bridge. Despite the strong currents and danger, with determination and a little luck, they were able to bring the people to safety.

"Patriotic emulation is not only a great task but also a daily task, being ready to go on duty, helping people day and night with the spirit of never giving up," he said.

Meanwhile, Truong Thanh Xuan, who just won a bronze medal at the 2025 International Mathematics Olympiad, shared that when she had to study away from home, she was under pressure from difficult math problems and good friends, and sometimes "doubted" herself.

At those times, Xuan thinks about the moments of being absorbed in solving math problems until midnight or the encouragement from teachers, family, and friends to have the motivation to try harder.

"Each young person is a seedling with the ability to grow infinitely, so training in morality and knowledge is patriotism," Thanh Xuan expressed.
