Doctor Quyen donated blood 17 times

Doctor Quyen recalls that when he was a student, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized voluntary blood donation and encouraged lecturers and students to participate. The young student at that time boldly signed up. “At that time, the movement had just begun to be organized, many people did not understand blood donation correctly. If I was not exemplary and active, the movement would have difficulty developing, so I decided to participate,” Doctor Quyen said.

To date, Dr. Quyen has donated blood 17 times. In 2022, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung for his outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation in the period 2020-2022. In addition to regular blood donations, he has also participated in many emergency blood donations when patients are anemic and actively encouraged family members to donate blood voluntarily.

Imbued with and following Uncle Ho's teachings: "Propaganda is to tell people something so that they understand, remember, follow, and do. If that goal is not achieved, propaganda has failed", Mr. Quyen always proactively advises the unit's leaders and proposes propaganda methods that are close and easy to understand for the people. He focuses on advising on the development and promulgation of detailed action plans, and implementing many projects such as prenatal and newborn screening; reducing gender imbalance at birth; premarital health examination and counseling models...

In the locality, Dr. Quyen enthusiastically responded to local emulation movements such as building rural concrete roads, intra-field concrete roads, contributing to social security funds... Dr. Quyen's family donated over 30 square meters of land to build rural roads in Dong Cam commune.
