At the conference, the reporters from the Department of Industry and Trade discussed and shared important legal regulations, such as: Law on Electricity (amended and supplemented); Decree No. 137/2020/ND-CP detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting; Decree No. 17/2022/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of decrees related to investment and business conditions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade ; and new circulars of relevant ministries and branches on technical guidance on electrical safety, management of electrical equipment in public places, markets and procedures for handling administrative violations in the fields of electricity and fire prevention and fighting.
Through discussion and sharing, delegates learned more about new regulations on electrical system installation in markets, technical standards for conductors, circuit breakers, circuit breakers; responsibilities of market management boards and business households when incidents occur due to violations of regulations; and were also instructed on skills to identify risks, handle emergency situations, and use on-site fire prevention and fighting equipment...
Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Luong Bay said that currently, the city has 145 large and small markets in operation, with tens of thousands of businesses using electricity every day. However, the work of ensuring electrical safety and fire prevention at the markets still has many shortcomings. Through this conference, relevant parties have the opportunity to discuss, resolve difficulties, and propose useful solutions to help management units and businesses raise awareness, thereby minimizing risks and ensuring safety for people and property in the markets.
