On November 21, Zhi Shan Foundation in Vietnam coordinated with the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund and the Department of Education and Training of Quy Chau district to organize a handover ceremony of 3 libraries to 3 schools in the mountainous district of Quy Chau (Nghe An).
The total cost of the 3 libraries to implement the projects is 400 million VND, of which the Zhi Shan Foundation in Vietnam supports 265 million VND, about 135 million VND is the local counterpart source. Specifically, the Chau Hanh kindergarten library receives support from the Project to Support Improving the Quality of Preschool Education; 02 libraries of Chau Thang Primary School and Quy Chau Ethnic Minority Secondary School receive support from the Project Making Friends with Books of this organization.

At the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy - Chief Representative of Zhi Shan Foundation in Vietnam added: The Preschool Education Support Project has been implemented by Zhi Shan in Nghe An province since 2019 with many meaningful models such as: building a kindergarten with 3 classrooms, closed toilets, kitchen; supporting soy milk drinking costs for 3 kindergartens in Yen Thanh and Anh Son districts with 7,000 children benefiting.
In addition, Zhi Shan also supports the establishment of 14 toy libraries, supplementing toys and books; organizing field trips and sharing experiences to improve the effectiveness of organizing activities at the library. In addition, the project also supports documents, supports funding for organizing activities; trains skills in organizing reading activities, supervises and supports practice, evaluates results, organizes competitions related to reading activities at schools.
As for the Book Friends Project, Zhi Shan Foundation has been implementing it in Nghe An province since 2015. Up to now, Zhi Shan has supported the establishment of 62 friendly libraries and 749 classroom bookcases, creating reading opportunities for more than 60,800 students in the districts of Anh Son, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Ky Son, Quy Chau and Hoang Mai town.

Mr. Bui Van Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district expressed that the 3 school libraries are a meaningful gift, a source of encouragement for teachers and students on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20. In the coming time, the library will help students have more friendly reading space to study and play, contributing to improving the quality of education in schools.
