Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has decided to leave Napoli (Italy) right in the winter transfer window that is opening. Coach Antonio Conte himself confirmed: "I tried to convince Kvaratskhelia to stay, but he decided to leave to find a new challenge. The club and his agent will find a solution. I cannot keep Kvara here if he does not want to stay."
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be the first expensive signing in the winter transfer window
Striker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, 23 years old, Georgian, still has a contract with Napoli until June 2027. In the ongoing 2024 - 2025 season, this star played 19 matches, but only scored 5 goals and had 3 assists. He is said to have had a conflict with coach Antonio Conte about playing tactics, causing him to not be able to fully develop his abilities. In the previous 2 seasons, this striker scored 14 and 11 goals for Napoli respectively.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is looking to join PSG in France, while he is also being linked with a number of English clubs. However, the possibility of the star joining the Paris club is the highest.
"PSG are optimistic about completing an agreement with Napoli for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, at a price significantly lower than the initial asking price of €80 million. The current price is over €60 million and the negotiating parties are close to reaching an agreement. It is likely that everything will be completed early next week," said Ben Jacobs.
Meanwhile, according to Fabrizio Romano: "Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has reached all personal agreements with PSG, in which the salary is 4 to 5 times higher than the current salary at Napoli. PSG will also sign a contract with this player for at least 5 years".
MU will transfer Rashford in early 2025
If the deal for striker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to move from Napoli to PSG is completed early next week, this will be the first "blockbuster" transfer in the open winter transfer window.
In England, veteran defender Kyle Walker officially offered to leave Man City right before the match against Salford City in the third round of the FA Cup (Man City won 8-0). Coach Pep Guardiola confirmed: "Walker has told us that he wants to find a new stage of his career abroad before retiring. We are working to complete these offers."
Kyle Walker is reportedly in talks to move to AC Milan (Italy). Discussions are ongoing, but there is no agreement yet, according to Fabrizio Romano. AC Milan is also the club most likely to convince striker Marcus Rashford to loan from Manchester United.
