On the morning of September 12, the Military Youth Committee (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) coordinated with the Political Department of Military Region 4 and accompanying units inside and outside the Army to organize a gift-giving program to support people and officers and soldiers affected by storms No. 5 and No. 6 in Tuong Duong commune, Nghe An province.

At the program, the Army Youth Union and units presented many practical gifts, including stationery, school supplies, materials to support Hoa Binh Kindergarten and essential necessities to people, officers and soldiers in Tuong Duong commune, Nghe An province with a total value of nearly 200 million VND.

The recent storm and flood was one of the most severe natural disasters that the people of Tuong Duong commune experienced when hundreds of houses were submerged in water, many properties were swept away. Among them, many schools suffered heavy property losses. Up to now, Tuong Duong commune still has 4 villages isolated because two suspension bridges across the river were swept away, making travel very difficult and dangerous when teachers and students have to travel by motorboat.

On behalf of Hoa Binh Kindergarten, teacher Nguyen Thi Hanh, Principal of the school expressed her deep gratitude for the timely attention and support of the Military Youth Union and other units, and affirmed that this is a great source of encouragement for teachers and students to teach and study well in the new school year.

The activity is a sharing of feelings and responsibilities of the Army youth and accompanying units towards people in flood-hit areas, contributing to encouraging people in schools to soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and enter the new school year.
