The leader of Nghe An Electricity Company said that as of early afternoon on October 1, the unit had fixed the problem and restored power to nearly 630,000 customers out of nearly 1.1 million customers in Nghe An province. 3 days after storm No. 10, for the 110kV power grid, Nghe An Electricity Company had restored 16/16 transformer stations and 41/41 damaged power lines. For the medium voltage power grid, 4,961 transformer stations and 155 damaged power lines were also restored.
"In the old Vinh City area alone, about 90% of customers have had their power restored," said Mr. Pham Van Nga - Deputy Director of Nghe An Electricity Company, adding that storm No. 10, which landed in Nghe An, caused heavy damage to people's property and severely damaged the power grid. Hundreds of electric poles were broken, many kilometers of power lines were broken and many transformer stations were damaged.

Currently, the entire electricity industry is mobilizing all its strength together with Nghe An Electricity Company to make efforts to restore the power grid system in the entire Nghe An province after storm No. 10. The leaders of the Northern Power Corporation and Nghe An Electricity Company are divided into many working groups to directly stay at the scene, closely monitor, urge and motivate officers and workers to restore the power grid, to restore power as quickly as possible to serve the people.

"More than 1,000 officials and employees of the electricity sector have divided into groups to go to each locality to fix the problem, including many reinforcements from the northern provinces. However, the recovery work is facing many difficulties, because many areas in Nghe An province are still deeply flooded. We expect that by October 6 at the earliest, we can basically fix the problem and restore power to all customers," Mr. Pham Van Nga added.
Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 10, the medium voltage grid managed by Nghe An Electricity Company had 258 damaged poles, of which 157 poles were broken, 101 poles were tilted or cracked; in addition, about 5,100 meters of wire were also broken and damaged. The low voltage grid had 578 damaged poles, of which 468 poles were broken; 110 poles were tilted, cracked; 14,931 meters of wire were broken and damaged; 1,000 meters were damaged. The damage caused by storm No. 10 affected all 1,095,883 electricity customers in Nghe An province.
