According to Mr. Le Trong Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper, although the road ahead for Vietnam's logistics service industry can be considered promising, it certainly will not be a road filled with roses.

Despite possessing great potential and open opportunities, subjective limitations – if not soon overcome, and objective obstacles – if there are no appropriate adaptation measures, the Vietnamese logistics market will hardly be able to develop as expected.

In particular, high logistics costs due to unsynchronized connections, unscientific planning and lack of human resources will certainly not be a problem that can be solved overnight, but it cannot be delayed any longer.

At the same time, the impact of geopolitical tensions, inflationary pressures on consumer demand, “green” declarations from more and more large corporations, technological advances being deployed around the world and the explosion of e-commerce are causing the traditional logistics industry to reshape.

In particular, the delay in removing bottlenecks, identifying challenges and new trends to find suitable solutions to reshape, adapt, consolidate position and take full advantage of opportunities may delay the rise of Vietnamese logistics on the road ahead.

Therefore, Mr. Minh believes that today's conference will find good ideas to contribute to making the road ahead of the Vietnamese logistics market more open and smooth, making Vietnam a logistics center in the Asia- Pacific region.

At the conference, the analysis, exchange and discussion of experts from policy-making agencies and leading enterprises hopefully contributed useful input information for the next roadmap as directed in Decision 221 of the Prime Minister, which is to prepare theoretical and practical bases for research and development of the Vietnam Logistics Services Development Strategy for the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045 and action plans.
