Accordingly, in Nam Dan district, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, together with Investment Newspaper and a number of sponsors, organized the awarding of 150 scholarships to 150 students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies in Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen districts.
The delegation also presented a gift of 300 million VND to support the construction and upgrading of facilities at Hung Thai Nghia Secondary School (Nam Dan district).

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Planning and Investment said that this is a source of support from the "Swing for the Kids - For Vietnamese Children" Golf Tournament Fund organized by Investment Newspaper under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam Education Promotion Fund. The purpose is to support poor but studious students across the country, helping them realize their dream of going to school.
Over the past 16 years, the Organizing Committee has mobilized more than 17.5 billion VND to award more than 18,000 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well; and supported the repair and upgrading of facilities in 40 provinces and cities across the country.
"We hope that the government, schools, and families will continue to pay attention and care for the students' studies; we hope that they will continue to try hard in their studies to achieve even better results, so that next year they will be selected to receive scholarships from sponsors and Investment Newspaper," the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Planning and Investment emphasized.
