Quang Tri Newspaper - Thien Tam Fund donates 30 bicycles to poor students overcoming difficulties

This morning, October 12, at Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Newspaper in collaboration with Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation presented 30 bicycles to students with difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper Nguyen Ty said that in recent years, in addition to professional activities, Quang Tri Newspaper has always paid attention to and regularly carried out social security activities. In particular, priority is given to accompanying and supporting students with especially difficult circumstances to help them go to school.

Through the survey, it was found that Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School has many students who, due to difficult family circumstances, do not have the means to go to school. In order to share and accompany these students, Quang Tri Newspaper has called for, mobilized and given them bicycles. Hopefully, this will be a useful means and motivation for them to overcome their current difficulties, strive to study well, and strive to become useful people for society.

Receiving a bicycle from the support of Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation, Nguyen Viet Thong, a 6K student at Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School happily shared: "My father passed away from cancer, my mother has a brain tumor, my family is in a very difficult situation. Every time I go to school, my sister and I share an old bicycle, which is very inconvenient because our schedules are different. Today, receiving a bicycle from the benefactors, I am very happy because from now on I can go to school on my own. I promise to try hard and study better to help my family and not let down the benefactors."

Principal of Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School Nguyen The Nhan said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 31 classes with 1,397 students. Of these, more than 100 students have extremely difficult family circumstances, and their houses are far from the school, making commuting very inconvenient due to lack of transportation.

The 30 bicycles donated by Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund, Vingroup Corporation today are practical gifts to help children have more conditions to go to school. This is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School 18/10 (2004-2024).
