Located on Trang Tien Street, the National History Museum is a unique architectural work of the Capital, where more than 200,000 artifacts and documents of Vietnamese cultural history are kept and preserved, along with relics, antiquities, and national treasures... Every day, the museum welcomes the public to visit with the desire to learn about heritage and historical stories, in which the number of visitors are young students accounting for 60-70%.

To celebrate International Museum Day on May 18, with the theme Museums for Education and Research, the National Museum of History organized an online tour program " Discovering museums with you" attracting a large number of students across the country aged 6-12.

In May, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the museum organized an experiential education program "Dien Bien Phu - Immortal Spirit", which received enthusiastic response from student groups from schools in the city. On this occasion, the National Museum of History coordinated with Phuong Dinh A Primary School (Dan Phuong, Hanoi ) to organize the Dien Bien Young Soldiers Festival, and exchange talks on the topic of Dien Bien Heroism. Nearly 500 students enthusiastically participated in learning about the Dien Bien Phu campaign that was famous in five continents and shook the world. The National Museum of History also coordinated with the Da Nang Museum and the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum to organize an online tour of Dien Bien Heroism for more than 500 students of Cat Linh Primary School, Hanoi.

Bringing educational and experiential activities into the museum's programs, thereby attracting the public, Ms. Le Thi Lien, an officer of the Education - Public Department of the National History Museum, shared: Education is the strength of the National History Museum. Currently, the museum has built three product packages for each group of visitors: Organizing direct educational activities for family groups, parents and children to participate in interactive and experiential activities; connecting tourism units to build programs for schools through extracurricular activities; specialized and in-depth educational programs through organizing workshops, exchanges, and discussions aimed at specific audiences.

With the slogan "The public is the target audience of the museum", with the advantage of the museum as a history textbook handbook for school students to learn, a stepping stone to provide a basic knowledge base about history, culture, national heritage, the educational activities and experiences of the museum must always attract the public, leave an impression and make them want to return to the museum.

Hanoi Museum is located on Pham Hung Street with unique architecture, recently becoming a "check-in coordinate" sought after by young people. With the advantage of preserving a heritage treasure of more than 73,000 documents and artifacts about the capital's history, a spacious campus, the museum organizes many interesting educational activities associated with intangible cultural heritage, with the direct participation of introductions and performances by artisans... Visiting the exhibition, experiencing and practicing, visitors will understand more about national culture and traditional crafts such as: Experiencing wearing Vietnamese traditional costumes, learning and practicing making to he, making Chuong village hats, Me Tri green rice, experiencing Bat Trang pottery, enjoying Dao Thuc water puppetry, ca tru, trying Vietnamese calligraphy. In particular, an educational and experiential product that has become the brand of Hanoi Museum is the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing the moon to the streets, creating a healthy and useful playground for children.

Hanoi Museum is also a place that always accompanies people with disabilities, offering many educational and experiential programs with the participation of people with disabilities. The exhibition "Fragments" organized by the Vun Art Cooperative in collaboration with Hanoi Museum attracted thousands of visitors, spreading good values, the will to live, and overcoming difficulties of the disadvantaged.

Deputy Director of Hanoi Museum Dang Minh Ve emphasized: The main visitors of Hanoi Museum are mostly students. This is the museum's core group, so the museum focuses on building appropriate educational programs. As of April 2024, the museum has welcomed 17,000 visitors to participate in experiential educational activities. Experiential activities not only play an important role in the educational program, but also contribute to the success of exhibitions at the museum, while attracting the public to the museum.

The trend of education in museums is increasingly focused on, bringing many meaningful experiences to the visiting public. Developing and organizing educational activities at museums not only contributes to bringing the program of experiencing Vietnamese cultural heritage closer to the public, but also contributes to making museums an interesting and useful destination.
