Arresting a gang specializing in stealing inter-provincial electrical equipment

On the evening of March 10, information from Tuy Hoa City Police ( Phu Yen ) said that they had detained a gang specializing in stealing electrical equipment in Phu Yen province.

Previously, at around 1:30 a.m. on March 8, a working group of Tuy Hoa City Police was patrolling in KP.1, Phu Dong Ward (Tuy Hoa City) when they discovered a group of 5 people and a car with license plate 51G-767.51 that appeared suspicious, so they proceeded to check. Thereby, they discovered that this group of people were carrying a pair of gloves, a crowbar, a box cutter, an electric tester and 2 pieces of parachute cord.

4 out of 5 inter-provincial electrical equipment thieves were discovered and arrested by Tuy Hoa City Police.

Through the investigation, Tuy Hoa City Police identified the above group of people as: Ngo Quang Huy (27 years old, living in Tan Duong hamlet, Tan Thanh commune, Binh Tan district, Vinh Long), Vo Van Phuong (29 years old) and Cao Van Du (20 years old, both living in Tan Phu hamlet, Tan Binh commune, Binh Tan district, Vinh Long), Cao Van Luan (31 years old, living in Long My village, An Dan commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen) and Tran Van Huynh (34 years old, living in Bao Chau hamlet, Viet Thang commune, Phu Tan district, Ca Mau ).

This group took advantage of the darkness when there was no one watching the electrical cabinets in residential areas in Tuy Hoa City, so they drove their cars to steal electric cables, but before they could do so, they were discovered by the police.

During further investigation, this gang confessed to having committed a series of electrical equipment thefts in Phu Yen province and other provinces and cities.

Tuy Hoa City Police have detained Huy, Luan, Huynh, Phuong and handed Du over to Phu Hoa District Police (Phu Yen) to coordinate the investigation of two property theft cases that occurred in Phu Hoa District.

Tuy Hoa City Police continue to coordinate with the Criminal Police Department and Phu Yen Provincial Police to investigate, expand, and handle the above-mentioned electrical equipment theft gang.
