Hanoi Party Secretary requests to speed up renovation of old apartment buildings

At the meeting, voters of Constituency No. 4 also expressed their joy and excitement about the country's strong movements towards a new era - the era of national growth; especially the spirit from the Great Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and A80 march.

In addition, many opinions related to people's lives were also raised. Voter Bui Minh Nguyet (Tuong Mai ward) proposed to speed up the renovation of old apartment buildings, with attention paid to the Truong Dinh apartment complex.

Mr. Nguyen Van Xuan (voter of Hoang Mai ward) said that in the ward there are currently more than 70 old apartment buildings, many of which have seriously degraded; including A7 Nguyen Chinh, a 5-storey prefabricated house, built in the 1960s, classified as level 5 dangerous and uninhabitable. In 2024, people must evacuate to ensure safety during typhoon Yagi .

Mr. Nguyen Van Xuan proposed that the National Assembly , the Government and the city have solutions to remove difficulties and promote early implementation of the project to ensure safety for the people.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Bac (voter of Gia Lam commune) proposed that the National Assembly study allowing villages and residential groups to use unused public land and agricultural land to organize parking lots for people, because the demand is increasing while many areas of public land and agricultural land are left abandoned.

Voters also recommended that central and city agencies soon find solutions to use surplus headquarters to avoid leaving them unused for a long time, which is very wasteful.

Speaking with voters of Constituency No. 4, comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai acknowledged and fully accepted the opinions raised by voters to both direct city agencies to focus on resolving them and at the same time recommend that competent authorities at the Central level consider and resolve them.

According to him, the issues that voters are concerned about this time are also issues that the city's leaders are very concerned about, especially the renovation of old apartment buildings which is still very slow, because of many difficulties and obstacles, especially attracting investment enterprises. In the future, the city will continue to direct and coordinate with central ministries and branches to find fundamental solutions to promote the progress of this important work.

Briefly reporting on the situation in the capital and the country, comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that although the very important and difficult task of arranging administrative units and organizing a 2-level local government model had to be carried out, it seemed that the economy might stagnate, but under the close leadership and direction of the Central Government, along with the political determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, the economy of the capital and the country have both developed strongly.

By early October, the city had achieved a state budget revenue of up to VND530,000 billion, reaching 103% of the planned estimate, higher than the revenue in 2024 (the first year of revenue reaching more than VND513,000 billion).

Emphasizing that in the coming time, the city still has a lot of work to do, he asked voters and people to continue to accompany, share and help the city Party Committee and government to continue to excellently complete political tasks.
