Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang visited and worked in Phu Yen province

Comrade Secretary of Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee Pham Dai Duong spoke at the working session with the delegation of Hai Duong province.

On November 27, on the occasion of attending the 60th anniversary of Vung Ro wharf receiving the first shipment of the ship Khong So (November 28, 1964 - November 28, 2024), towards the 65th anniversary of the twinning of Hai Duong - Phu Yen provinces (January 9, 1960 - January 9, 2025), the Hai Duong province delegation led by comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee visited and worked in Phu Yen province. The delegation included comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of Hai Duong province.

Receiving the delegation of Hai Duong and Phu Yen provinces were comrades: Pham Dai Duong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Speaking at the meeting, Phu Yen Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation from Hai Duong province to visit and work in Phu Yen province on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vung Ro wharf receiving the first shipment of the unnumbered ship.

Affirming the close relationship between the two provinces over nearly 65 years of twinning, Secretary of Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee Pham Dai Duong expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Committee and people of Hai Duong province for always caring for and supporting Phu Yen province in difficult times, as well as accompanying the province's socio-economic development process.

Speaking at the meeting, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang congratulated Phu Yen province on its achievements in recent years. Comrade Tran Duc Thang emphasized: Hai Duong - Phu Yen are two twin provinces that have been closely linked since the fierce war years of the resistance war against the US to save the country. Nearly 65 years have passed, but this good traditional relationship has always been maintained, developed and become an invaluable asset of the Party Committees, authorities and people of the two provinces on the path of construction and development. Comrade Tran Duc Thang hopes that the two provinces will elevate their relationship, share in Party building, socio-economic development and improve people's lives.

Hai Duong province delegation donated funds to build 13 gratitude houses for Phu Yen province

On this occasion, Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee presented Phu Yen province with funds to build 13 houses for policy families and meritorious people in difficult circumstances with a total value of 840 million VND; 90 gifts (total value of 100 million VND) to meritorious people, relatives of martyrs who died at Vung Ro wharf and officers and soldiers participating in transporting weapons and ammunition at Vung Ro wharf; presented Phu Yen province's Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs with 2 sets of computers and 2 printers.

* Also during the working trip, the delegation of Hai Duong province laid wreaths and offered incense at the Phu Yen Provincial Martyrs' Temple, Nhan Mountain Memorial, Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery, and Luong Van Chanh Temple.

A working delegation from Hai Duong province visited and presented gifts to Mr. Pham Duy Hong, a war invalid from Hai Duong, currently living in Ward 7, Tuy Hoa City.

On the same day, the delegation of Hai Duong province visited and presented gifts to Hai Phu Library. The Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee expressed his impression and emotion because Hai Phu Library still preserved many issues of Hai Hung newspaper.
