Choosing Sa Lon to build the Provincial Party Committee Base demonstrated the sharpness in creatively applying the Party's policies and guidelines and the experience of our ancestors to build a base suitable to local conditions and circumstances.
During the resistance war against the US, Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee was stationed at more than 30 locations. Particularly at the Sa Lon base, the Provincial Party Committee was stationed 3 times in a period of more than 8 years (from December 1954 to June 1957, from mid-1961 to December 1964 and from September 1968 to August 1970). With those special marks, the Provincial Party Committee Base Relic Site in Sa Lon was chosen by the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee as the place to restore, renovate, and embellish the original relics and build auxiliary items to preserve and maintain the heroic and glorious revolutionary historical tradition of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee in the resistance war against the US in particular, and the history of the provincial Party Committee in general in the period 1954 - 1975. Turning those historical and spiritual values into a place to foster awareness, love for the homeland and national pride for all classes of the province's people to understand the hardships and sacrifices of previous generations, is a place to return to for today's and future generations.
