Ministry of Education and Training reduces 6 focal points, many heads are transferred to deputy heads

After rearranging and reorganizing the apparatus and personnel, the Ministry of Education and Training reduced 6 units, many chief-level personnel were transferred to deputy positions.

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the reorganization and appointment of personnel. The result of the reorganization is that a general department has been transformed into a department; the merger of several units and the termination of one unit has helped the ministry reduce 6 departments.

After rearranging and reorganizing the organizational structure and personnel, the Ministry of Education and Training reduced 6 units.

Due to the merger and reduction of unit heads, many chiefs were transferred to other units or new units after the merger to become chiefs or deputy chiefs.

The personnel still holding the position of leader include:

Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy, Director of the Department of Higher Education , was transferred to become Director of the Department of International Cooperation; Mr. Pham Quang Hung, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, was transferred to become Director of the Department of Science and Information Technology (a new unit after the merger); Mr. Hoang Duc Minh, Director of the Department of Continuing Education (this department merged with another unit to form the Department of Vocational Education) was transferred to become Director of the Department of Students; Mr. Nguyen Thanh De, Director of the Department of Physical Education (this department merged with several other units to form the Department of Students) was transferred to become Director of the Department of Preschool Education.

Mr. Thai Van Tai, Director of the Department of Primary Education, was appointed as Director of the Department of General Education (a new department after the merger of the Department of Primary Education with the Department of Secondary Education); Mr. Tran Thanh Dam, is still Director of the Department of Planning and Finance (a new department after the merger but still retains the old name).

Mr. Truong Anh Dung is the Director of the Department of Vocational Education (formerly the General Department of Vocational Education).

The chief officials now working as deputies include: Ms. Le Thi Thanh Nhan, Head of the Department of Ethnic Education (this department has ceased operation) now works as Deputy Head of the Department of Teachers and Educational Managers; Mr. Tran Van Dat, Head of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs (this department merged with other units) now has been appointed as Deputy Head of the Department of Students (a new department after the merger).

Mr. Pham Hung Anh, Director of the Department of Facilities (merged) became Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance; Mr. Nguyen Son Hai, Director of the Department of Information Technology (merged) became Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Information Technology.

After the reorganization of the apparatus and personnel, the Department of Higher Education does not have a head of department. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Head of Department, was assigned to take charge.
