On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, today, February 2, a working delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) led by Party Central Committee member and Minister of MPI Nguyen Chi Dung visited and presented gifts to policy households and the poor and carried out a number of gratitude activities in Quang Tri province. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Duc Thang accompanied the delegation.

On this occasion, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung visited and presented 100 gifts, each worth 700,000 VND including gifts and cash to 70 policy households and poor households in the western communes of Gio Linh district and 30 households in Dong Luong ward, Dong Ha city. He also presented 100 million VND to the Quang Tri Province Fund for the Poor to help share difficulties and help the poor in Quang Tri province celebrate Tet and welcome spring.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung kindly sent his regards, encouragement and New Year wishes to the policy families and poor households. He expressed his hope that these gifts would help the policy families and poor households to reduce their difficulties and enjoy a warm, joyful and happy New Year.
We request Quang Tri province to continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, be united, try harder together to overcome all difficulties and together build our province to be more and more developed, worthy of the sacrifices of previous generations. Continue to care for the people during Tet, especially for poor households, policy families, lonely elderly households, and those without support.

During the working trip, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and the delegation visited, laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Historical Site, the National Cemetery of Road 9 and the Truong Son National Cemetery. Before the souls of the heroes and martyrs, the delegation expressed their gratitude, respect and gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation and pledged to continue the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
