At the regular press conference on the afternoon of March 28, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Duc Thang said that, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son will pay an official visit to China from April 3-4, 2024. The Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has continued to be maintained and developed positively in recent times, achieving many important results. Leaders of the two Parties and two countries have maintained regular exchanges and contacts, consolidating political trust. Notably, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China in October 2022, followed by a State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping in December 2023. The two sides issued a Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a community of shared future between Vietnam and China, which has strategic significance, opening a new stage of development in the cooperative relationship between the two Parties and the two countries. Economic, trade, investment and tourism cooperation between the two countries continues to have new and increasingly substantive developments.
