Kaluga Minister of Agriculture impressed with TH true MILK farm

Recently, Mr. Efremov Alexander Viktorovich, Minister of Agriculture of Kaluga region, visited and worked with a delegation of leaders of Kaluga region government (Russian Federation) at the TH Group's dairy farm cluster focusing on high technology application with the world's largest closed-scale production process in Nghia Dan district, Nghe An.

With the passionate love for the homeland and the tireless efforts of the Founder - Labor Hero Thai Huong and all employees of TH Group, Nghia Dan land from its starting point as a remote area has risen to become the dairy capital of Vietnam with the world's largest closed-scale farm and the most modern milk, purified water, wood processing factory... in Southeast Asia.

Mr. Ngo Minh Hai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TH Group, shared at the meeting: “ We do not have vast fields like Russia. However, on each of these “rice fields”, we have tried our best to bring about the highest efficiency and productivity.

For example, in Russia, we can only grow 1 corn crop per year, but in Vietnam we can grow up to 3 crops. In Kaluga, we can only cut a maximum of 2 crops per year for growing grass for dairy cows, but in Nghia Dan we can cut 6-8 crops per year .

Mr. Efremov Alexander Viktorovich is excited about the large fields of grass used as feed for TH dairy cows.

As the former General Director of a dairy farming enterprise in the Russian Federation, the Minister of Agriculture of Kaluga showed special interest in the way TH manages its herd of nearly 70,000 dairy cows through Perometer chips worn on the cows' legs. All information about the cows' health is transmitted directly to the signal receiver at the Milking Center and updated on the computer.

At TH's Feed Center No. 2 in Nghia Dan, the head of the Kaluga region's agriculture sector expressed his impression of the scale and technology that TH applies in processing feed for dairy cows.

TH Farm has two large feed centers. Each center can ferment hundreds of thousands of tons of raw feed per harvest. Every day, more than 2,000 tons of feed are mixed and rations with dozens of separate menus are distributed to different groups of cows: lactating cows, dry cows, calves, pregnant cows, young cows, and cows in labor.

While visiting the TH Biofertilizer Processing Plant, the Minister of Agriculture of the Kaluga region was surprised and impressed with the perfection of the circular production process at TH Group. Accordingly, by-products of the livestock farming process are effectively reused in crop cultivation.

From the end of 2022, TH's Greenma organic fertilizer product will enter the organic fertilizer market in Vietnam with a certificate of meeting national technical regulations on fertilizers (QCVN 01-189:2019/Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).

Introducing the dairy farming industry in Kaluga Region, Mr. Efremov Alexander Viktorovich noticed that Kaluga and Nghe An have many similarities in terms of agricultural land area. Dairy farming is also a priority industry attracting investment in Kaluga.

Kaluga currently has a total herd of about 52,000 dairy cows. Kaluga authorities expect that with the arrival of investors like TH, the number of cows will increase to 72,000 in just a few years. The average milk yield of the cows in Kaluga is about 27 liters/cow/day.

The Minister expressed his admiration when he learned that the average milk yield of TH in Nghe An is 33 liters/cow/day, while the average milk yield of TH farm in the Russian Federation is 40 liters/cow/day.

The investment project of TH Group in Kaluga Region with all the components that TH has implemented such as in Nghia Dan, Nghe An is an important component in the overall project of investing in the TH dairy cow farming and fresh milk processing complex in the Russian Federation.
As of the end of 2022, Phase I of the TH farm in the Ulyanovo district of Kaluga region has been completed. The second farm in the Khvastovichi district is under design and will start construction after the completion of the Ulyanovo farm.
In January 2023, TH imported 2,400 purebred high-yielding cows from the US to Kaluga and officially operated the farm, bringing the total number of TH dairy cows in Russia to about 6,000 to date. With modern technology, scientific management and strict operating procedures, TH's cow herd in Kaluga has adapted very well, giving the highest milk yield in the Russian Federation.
TH has now taken over 20,000 hectares of cultivated land in Kaluga and organized reclamation and cultivation on an area of 8,000 hectares with high-yield livestock crops such as wheat, barley, corn, alfafa grass, ryegrass... Hundreds of Kaluga locals who previously had to go to the city to find work have now returned to work for TH's project and live happily in their hometown.
In addition, TH Group's milk processing factory with the largest capacity in Russia has started construction in the Kaluga Industrial Zone, 100km from the center of Moscow.
To date, in addition to Kaluga province, TH Group's projects in Russia have taken steady steps in Moscow province, Primoskiy (Far East) and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
