Many passengers have the habit of charging their phone batteries while flying to ensure their devices are always fully charged. However, according to Vietnam Airlines , battery charging must comply with strict regulations to avoid fire or explosion incidents or violations of flight safety.
Electronic devices with Lithium batteries under 100Wh are allowed to be carried, but the maximum number is not more than 15 units per passenger. For spare batteries, passengers are only allowed to carry them in carry-on baggage, absolutely not in checked baggage.
Lithium ion batteries with a capacity of over 100Wh but not exceeding 160Wh may only be carried a maximum of 2 per flight. Devices containing wet cell, fuel cell or special type batteries must comply with strict conditions regarding voltage, capacity and packaging. An important principle is that the battery must be protected from accidental activation, the terminals should be taped or insulated.
Before flying, passengers should carefully check the airline's regulations to safely charge the battery, avoid trouble and keep the trip intact. Dear readers, please watch more videos : Top 10 'Scary' Technology Devices of the Future.
