The tradition of “drinking water, remembering its source, and repaying kindness” has been highly promoted among all classes of our people. Every time Tet comes, Spring returns, thousands of martyr cemeteries across the country are renovated and decorated. Thousands of charity houses are given to mothers and sisters who are relatives of martyrs and wounded soldiers.
We are extremely proud that in today's powerful people's armed forces, there are many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of heroes, martyrs, and wounded soldiers who are living and fighting following the noble example of their fathers and mothers, contributing to making the tradition of "The previous generation of fathers, the next generation of children/ Have become comrades in the same military march". It is the combined strength of our entire Party, people, and army that allows the Vietnamese Fatherland to continue to exist and continue its long march to build a prosperous and happy country.
In the surge of emotion when visiting the martyrs' cemetery to burn incense at the end of the year to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs, journalist and poet Nguyen Hong Vinh quickly wrote down a few lines of emotion from the bottom of his heart. Respectfully introducing the poem:

Windy last day of the year
The banyan tree still has bare, dry branches.
Maybe wait for the martyrs to return, the flowers will bloom?!
