Northern provinces survey and exchange experiences in developing adventure tourism in Lam Dong

From October 7 to 10, the working delegation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Lai Chau and Son La provinces organized a survey program and exchanged experiences in managing and developing adventure tourism products in Lam Dong.

Mr. Tran Son Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai, wishes to learn from Lam Dong's experience to apply locally.

Mr. Vo Thanh Huy, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Lam Dong is a province blessed with diverse natural landscapes: plateaus, mountains, forests, waterfalls, lakes, streams, islands. Especially Ta Dung tourist area with more than 40 islands floating in the middle of a poetic lake is likened to "Ha Long Bay on the plateau"...

These natural advantages create favorable conditions for the development of various types of adventure tourism: from trekking, mountain climbing, cave exploration , waterfall crossing to water and sea sports. This is a unique advantage, contributing to affirming the brand of adventure - ecotourism of Lam Dong and the entire South Central Coast and Central Highlands.

Typical adventure tourism products such as mountain climbing, paragliding, white water rafting, windsurfing, coral diving... of Lam Dong province have become attractive highlights, appealing to a large number of domestic and international tourists, especially the young generation who love to experience and explore.

Mr. Tran Son Binh, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared that Lam Dong is considered the leading locality in the country in developing adventure sports tourism, with many unique products, attracting domestic and international tourists.

These models not only bring high economic value but also contribute to raising the image of local tourism on the international adventure tourism map.

Therefore, the Northwestern provinces wish to learn from experience in building, managing and exploiting adventure sports tourism products; and learn about the model of association and coordination between management agencies, businesses and the community in developing adventure tourism in Lam Dong.

At the same time, there were exchanges with leaders and units operating in the field of adventure tourism on safety assurance processes, licensing and human resource training for adventure sports activities.

Exchanging and sharing experiences will create a premise for provinces to communicate, cooperate and develop unique tourism products in the coming time.
