Although the number of agencies has decreased significantly, the number of employees has also decreased by nearly 150,000 people, but economic growth still reached over 8%.

Giving his opinion on the draft Report on the work of the 15th National Assembly term, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Van Huy (Hung Yen) expressed his agreement with the assessments of the National Assembly's performance during this term.

Regarding legislative work, delegate Nguyen Van Huy assessed that the law-making work during the term has achieved outstanding results and achievements, specifically demonstrated through the quantity and quality of issued legal documents and resolutions.

However, the delegate also said that the work of perfecting institutions and laws has not kept up with the development requirements and rapid changes of the new context. In addition, many detailed regulations are still outstanding. According to Report No. 563 dated October 4, 2025 of the Ministry of Justice, by the end of September 2025, there were 55 detailed regulations that had not been issued.

Therefore, delegate Nguyen Van Huy suggested that it is necessary to further strengthen discipline and order in law-making work; improve the quality of laws and resolutions; and at the same time, actively review legal documents to detect contradictory and overlapping regulations.

Regarding supervision activities, delegate Nguyen Van Huy said that the supreme supervision of the National Assembly as well as the supervision of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the supervision of the Nationality Council and the National Assembly Committees, and the National Assembly delegations have also achieved many marks.

However, more attention should be paid to the implementation of recommendations after supervision. Along with that, delegates suggested that there should be a mechanism for local National Assembly delegations to mobilize the participation of experts and scientists to improve the quality of law-making work as well as the implementation of supervision work.
