The National Assembly is active and proactive in responding to the wishes of voters and the people.
The majority of National Assembly deputies agreed with the draft Report on the Work of the 15th National Assembly; they said that, in the context of many changes and strong demands for innovation, the 15th National Assembly has affirmed its mettle, intelligence and pioneering role, effectively performing legislative and supervisory functions, deciding on important national and foreign affairs issues, affirming the role of the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power body.

Many opinions emphasized that the National Assembly has inherited tradition and promoted the spirit of solidarity, regularly innovated its working methods, improved professionalism, publicity, transparency, democracy, criticism, and properly, fully, and effectively performed its constitutional, legislative, supreme supervision, and decision-making functions on important issues of the country as well as parliamentary diplomatic activities.

According to delegates, throughout its term, the 15th National Assembly has left remarkable marks. The activities of the National Assembly have crystallized the wisdom, mettle and development aspirations of the Vietnamese people, creating a solid foundation to bring the country into a new stage of development - faster, more sustainable and reaching the goal of a strong, prosperous and happy Vietnam.
Participating in the National Assembly since the 12th term, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Thi Kim Be (An Giang) affirmed that the 15th National Assembly has shown innovation in leadership, direction and administration. This shows the "specialness" of this term when the National Assembly is very proactive, determined, shares and accompanies the Government to create a solid legal basis, creating conditions for the Government, ministries, branches and localities to remove difficulties and obstacles, and implement tasks.

In particular, the organization of extraordinary sessions of the National Assembly has promptly concretized the policies of the Party and State; resolved urgent and important issues, met the practical requirements of the country's development, and removed institutional and policy obstacles. This demonstrates the innovation, dynamism and proactiveness of the National Assembly in response to the wishes of voters, people and businesses.
Sharing this view, National Assembly Deputy Tran Dinh Gia (Ha Tinh) highly appreciated the fundamental changes in the National Assembly's viewpoint on law-making. Accordingly, instead of trying to make specific and detailed laws and reduce the issuance of sub-law documents, the Law now only regulates major and fundamental issues under the authority of the National Assembly. Specific issues are regulated by the Government and relevant ministries and branches for flexible implementation.

Strengthen written supervision
Concerned about the effectiveness of supervision and post-supervision, National Assembly member Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (Quang Ninh) pointed out that in reality, supervision pointed out many contents that needed to be implemented, but were the implementation and urging of implementation after supervision effective when some recommendations were still general? Especially for the National Assembly delegation, urging of implementation after supervision, according to the delegate, is difficult, because the number of delegates is small, there are contents that require deep expertise and experience to be supervised.

Sharing this view, National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Thi Kim Be suggested continuing to pay attention to and support the National Assembly delegation in supervisory work, and having more specific regulations to promote the supervisory role of National Assembly deputies.
Delegate Tran Dinh Gia proposed to strengthen written supervision, especially written questioning by National Assembly deputies, because this is an activity that voters and people are very interested in.
