According to the report at the province-wide online conference to evaluate the progress of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses just a few days ago, the whole province has completed 12,161 houses, reaching 82.3% of the plan; is building 2,619 houses and has disbursed support to 13,082 households with a total mobilized resource of more than 1,584 billion VND.
Of the 166 communes and wards in the province, 125 have completed building houses for poor households and policy households; the remaining 41 localities are racing every hour.
Over the past few days, we have seen many more smiles on the media and on social networks. The smiles of new home owners. Many people said they “could not imagine” that a spacious, solid home would come to them so quickly, like a dream. They not only received financial support from the authorities, but also received support from neighbors. Many families received essential items from local authorities and businesses to make their new homes even warmer.
In the past few days, we have seen many other smiles. The smiles of those who give away houses. The person who gives away houses may represent the government, organizations or businesses, but they all carry the same mindset, which is to give the “key to a home” for the poor to step in and start a new life.
A roof is not only a place to avoid the sun and rain, but also a place to warm the faith and "anchor the soul" of people. It is difficult for the poor and those with housing difficulties to overcome their fate, overcome the sun and rain to rebuild their lives without a proper roof. Since ancient times, our grandparents have said "settling down to find a career", and now many policy beneficiaries have settled down, they are dreaming of finding a career after a very humane policy and urgent and responsible actions.
In directing the progress of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses recently, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has determined a specific timeline for the entire country to complete the temporary house elimination program as follows: Before July 27, 2025, complete housing support for all families of war invalids, martyrs and meritorious people; before August 31, 2025, complete 100% of the remaining temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, right on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day. At the most recent online conference of the whole province to assess the progress of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh requested the heads of the Party committees and authorities of the remaining 41 localities in the province to resolutely direct and mobilize the entire political system, organizations and forces, speed up the progress, and strive to complete all house construction work before August 20, 2025. Particularly, some localities that have committed to completing their tasks before July 20, 2025 need to keep their commitments, creating a premise to spread the spirit of competition to complete tasks early.
The timeline set by Thanh Hoa province is earlier than the general timeline of the whole country, as a commitment to bring warmth to the people, for peace and happiness.
