On December 15, 2024, the election of village, hamlet and ward chiefs for the 2025-2027 term will take place simultaneously in all villages, hamlets and ward of the province. Up to this point, all preparations in Cam Pha City are ready. so that the election is truly a festival of the people.
These days, cadres, party members and people of Ward 3A (Cam Trung Ward) have come together to renovate the Ward Cultural House to be spacious and clean, creating favorable conditions for ward voters to elect the ward chief for the 2025-2027 term. Each person has a job to do, together contributing to the common work of the ward.
Ms. Bui Thi Kim Loan, Head of the Front Work Committee of Zone 3A, shared: To make the election day of the ward chief a festival for all people, the Front Work Committee of the ward met, consulted, and propagated to the people to fulfill their roles and responsibilities as voters, wisely electing the most worthy ward chief who is ethical, dedicated, conscious, and responsible towards the people. Along with personnel preparation, the ward has carefully prepared the facilities for the election day. A large number of cadres, party members, and people have actively participated in contributing working days and nearly 20 million VND to renovate the facilities, decorate flags, and slogans at the Cultural House - the voting area; clean the environment, build a flower street, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape for the ward, creating a vibrant atmosphere to welcome the election.
These days, 174/174 villages and neighborhoods of the city are bustling with competition with projects and tasks aimed at welcoming the election of village and neighborhood chiefs for the 2025-2027 term. Communes and wards closely direct residential areas to do a good job in personnel work, selecting people with virtue and talent to run for village and neighborhood chief; carry out visual propaganda well and deploy steps to prepare for the election in accordance with procedures, regulations, democracy, publicity and transparency.
Mr. Le Tien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Front Work Committee of Hai Gieng 2 Ward (Cam Thuy Ward), said: Implementing the direction of the Party Committee, the People's Committee of the ward and residential area has seriously implemented the steps of consultation, selection and introduction of the list of candidates. On November 20, the ward successfully organized the second consultation, completed before November 30 compared to the province's plan. Promoting the people's mastery, in the spirit of implementing the model "People trust - Party nominates", 100% of the ward voters attending promoted the spirit, responsibility, democracy, and selected the Party Cell Secretary, Head of the ward for the 2022-2025 term to continue to be introduced to elect the head of the ward for the new term. The ward publicly posted the list of candidates for the head of the ward for the 2025-2027 term.
Following the direction of the province and city, wards and communes have implemented the process of electing village and ward chiefs for the new term, completing it 3 to 5 days earlier than the schedule set out in regulations. 100% of the People's Committees of wards and communes have completed reviewing and preparing personnel for the Election Teams and issued decisions to establish Election Teams according to the set plan.
Up to now, 15/15 communes and wards have selected locations to hold village and neighborhood chief elections at 174 village and neighborhood cultural houses in the area. Although affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi), with the active participation of the entire political system from the city to wards and communes, 143/174 cultural houses have ensured adequate facilities to hold elections; 31 cultural houses are being repaired and upgraded, which will be completed before November 30, 2024 to ensure service for the election. The city allocated a budget to support 870 million VND for the election of village and neighborhood chiefs for 174 villages and neighborhoods.
Mr. Pham Van Kinh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, affirmed: Up to now, the preparation work for the election of village and ward chiefs for the 2025-2027 term of the locality has been carried out according to the roadmap and specific progress for each work content, ensuring the success of the election. Currently, 144/174 villages and ward have completed consultation on personnel introduction; 100% of villages and ward have completed the list of voters representing households with a total of nearly 51,000 people. The remaining villages and ward strive to complete the consultation steps before November 30, 2024 compared to the province's plan. It is expected that by December 3, 2024, all wards and communes will complete posting the list of voters at the headquarters of the People's Committees of wards and communes and at 100% of village and ward cultural houses.
