This is an activity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Can Tho city under the Central Government (January 1, 2004 - January 1, 2024) associated with the New Year and "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Spring of Giap Thin 2024".
This year's Spring Newspaper Fair serves over 200 types of Giap Thin Spring publications in the following fields: Politics - Society; Economics - Science and Technology; Culture - Arts; Spring publications for children; Spring newspapers of provinces/cities; Spring publications of districts/counties and agencies, departments and branches of Can Tho City. The number of publications on display to serve the people will increase, when the Organizing Committee continues to add more Spring publications released after the opening of this Spring Newspaper Fair.

Along with the Spring Newspaper Festival, the Spring Publication Contest of Giap Thin 2024 in Can Tho City continues to be launched, aiming to improve the efficiency and promote the local non-professional press information channel; create consensus and determination of the political system and people in carrying out the task of building and developing Can Tho City in the new period.
The Spring Publications of districts, departments, branches, and organizations in the city have summarized and evaluated the activities of localities and units over a year of determination, efforts, and emulation to successfully implement goals and tasks in 2023.
The Can Tho Spring Newspaper Festival will serve readers from now until March 4, 2024, especially open throughout all Tet holidays. At the same time, the district/county library and 83 commune/ward/town libraries across the area will also organize Spring newspaper exhibitions combined with cultural, artistic and sports activities, contributing to creating a joyful atmosphere, serving the cultural and spiritual life of the people before, during and after Tet.
