Vietnam Coast Guard receives Second Class Military Exploit Order

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Coast Guard has strictly maintained combat readiness; grasped the situation, promptly advised the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to handle situations at sea correctly, accurately and effectively, avoiding being passive or surprised; mobilized and used ships and boats to operate in sea areas to ensure safety; built and implemented the Coast Guard (CSB) work plan for 2025 to ensure quality; closely coordinated with the Navy, Border Guard and coastal localities to synchronously and effectively implement the work of combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; actively mobilized ships, boats, officers and soldiers to carry out search and rescue missions...

In the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested the Vietnam Coast Guard to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the "3 focuses" and "3 drastic measures" according to the direction of General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission at the 14th Central Military Commission meeting and the 8 key tasks that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, emphasized at the Military-Political Conference of the entire army in the first 6 months of 2025, the Conclusion of the Central Military Commission on military and defense tasks; review the remaining work programs and plans for 2025.

Authorized by the President , Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Order to the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Preside over and coordinate with forces to effectively carry out the tasks of protecting sovereignty, enforcing the law, combating smuggling, trade fraud, preventing and combating piracy and armed robbery at sea, protecting oil and gas exploitation and exploration activities, and preparing plans to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue; coordinate with forces to effectively carry out the task of combating IUU fishing.

Authorized by the President, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Major General Vu Trung Kien, Deputy Commander of the Law of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Strengthen leadership and direction in building strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, exemplary" agencies and units. Pay attention to solutions for building regulations, training discipline, and minimizing violations of discipline and law.

At the conference, authorized by the President, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Order to the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Second Class Fatherland Protection Order to Major General Vu Trung Kien, Deputy Commander of the Law of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to collectives and individuals of the Vietnam Coast Guard with outstanding achievements in the first 6 months of 2025.
