The incident occurred after the match between Hanoi FC and HAGL ended at Hang Day Stadium on the evening of January 24. An elderly fan slipped and fell in the stands, causing him to bleed. While the Hanoi team was walking to stand B to thank the fans, Coach Le Duc Tuan and Do Duy Manh discovered the situation.

Mr. Tuan and the 1996-born midfielder, along with the medical staff, quickly climbed over the fence to get to the stands. The Hanoi team also helped carry the stretcher and help everyone deal with the incident. Thanks to the help of Coach Duc Tuan, Duy Manh and the quick response of the medical team, the fans received first aid and bandages. Afterwards, the Hanoi club members also helped pass the stretcher to the ambulance.
