Take care of Tet carefully, be ready to fight

Spring has come to all over the homeland. With the spirit of "Happy spring, Tet, high combat readiness", the police, military and border forces of the province have not only taken good care of Tet for officers, soldiers and people, but also strengthened combat readiness work, avoiding being passive and surprised, thereby contributing to maintaining political stability, order and social security so that people can enjoy spring and welcome the Lunar New Year 2024 in peace and warmth.

Deploying a high point of attacking, suppressing crime, and protecting security and order for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 from mid-December 2023, units under the Provincial Police have focused on patrolling and controlling the area, proactively deploying measures and solutions to prevent and combat all types of crimes, especially crimes related to "black credit", crimes using weapons and explosives to commit crimes, crimes of robbery, extortion, theft, fraud; acts of manufacturing, producing, trading, storing, transporting and using illegal fireworks; crimes related to drugs and social evils; proactively grasping information, preventing and fighting to defeat the plots and sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces. In particular, to ensure traffic safety and order when people's travel, trade and commerce needs increase, potentially causing many risks of traffic accidents and traffic jams during Tet, the Provincial Traffic Police force is implementing many solutions to ensure traffic order for people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet safely. Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Ngoc Nam, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, said: Implementing the peak plan to ensure traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year, the department coordinated to organize simultaneous patrols and controls across the province; as a result, in the past month, 1,853 violations were recorded (including 313 cases of alcohol concentration violations), 1,588 administrative violations were sanctioned, more than 3.33 billion VND was collected for the budget, and 306 driving licenses were revoked. With the determination to control and reduce traffic accidents and traffic congestion, ensuring safe and favorable traffic conditions for people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet, in the coming time, the department will increase patrols and traffic control, especially during rush hours and on important traffic routes; resolutely handle violations in the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".

At Vinh Hai Border Guard Station (Ninh Hai), the unit is also busy when it carries out patrolling, guarding, and SSCD tasks while organizing Tet activities with the Raglai people in the two communes of Vinh Hai (Ninh Hai) and Cong Hai (Thuan Bac). Major Truong Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of Vinh Hai Border Guard Station, said: Thoroughly implementing the directive to carry out the tasks of the Lunar New Year 2024 from the superiors, the unit has developed and deployed a SSCD duty plan to each officer and soldier; limiting leave and taking time off, organizing training on plans to protect targets on shore and at sea; coordinating with other units to unify the expected situation and assigning serious on-duty forces with the determination not to be passive or surprised. At the same time, the unit also prepares the activity "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers" with the poor people in the area with the following contents: Awarding the national flag to fishermen; providing instructions on hanging the national flag and Uncle Ho's picture for Raglai people, organizing the "Zero-dong stall" activity to give gifts to poor households; organizing contests on wrapping banh chung, arranging flowers, making five-fruit trays, culinary competitions and cultural exchanges with people in Cau Gay village. Through the program, the station sent 200 pairs of banh chung and 220 gifts of necessities to poor households in the area under its management with a total value of 46 million VND, and awarded 16 scholarships to poor students in the program "Helping children go to school" with a total value of 16 million VND, contributing to helping people celebrate Tet more warmly and prosperously.

Together with the Provincial Police and the Provincial Border Guard, the Provincial Military Command also prioritizes the task of ensuring safety and all conditions for people to celebrate Tet at this time. Colonel Nguyen Tuy, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, said: To ensure the work of combat readiness during the Lunar New Year, the Provincial Military Command directs units and forces to strengthen the practice of on-site combat plans, warning of movement, training of mobility; coordinate in preventing and fighting all kinds of crimes, preventing fires and explosions, rescuing, etc. At the same time, closely coordinate with localities to patrol, guard, and protect targets, locations of activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring and festivals with large crowds before, during and after the Lunar New Year. Officers and soldiers of the Provincial Armed Forces clearly identify their responsibilities and are determined to complete their assigned tasks well.

With the highest sense of responsibility, officers and soldiers of the armed forces in the province have been silently performing their duties every day, every hour on the roads, in the areas and at the activities and festivals welcoming the new year to serve the people. Officers and soldiers put aside their personal concerns to share the joy of the people, contributing to ensuring that the people celebrate Tet and enjoy the spring in a warm, peaceful and complete manner.
