Urgent direction on the case of 200 preschool children not yet attending class in Bac Giang

On May 4, the leader of the People's Committee of Hiep Hoa district said that the district had just signed a decision to focus on speeding up the construction progress of 2 classrooms at Mai Trung Kindergarten No. 2 (Cam Trang village, Mai Trung commune) and arranging classrooms and teachers to mobilize students to go to school.

According to this leader, the important thing is to request Mai Trung commune to speed up the progress of completing the documents to submit to the competent authority for approval, take steps to start construction of 2 classrooms at Mai Trung Kindergarten No. 2, to be completed before October 30.

During the investment period to build 2 classrooms, the district requested to continue to mobilize and propagate parents to send their children to school; directed Cam Trang village school to arrange facilities to have classrooms for children of all ages.

At the same time, consider and arrange the cultural house of Cam Trang village to be a temporary classroom for children during construction.

Regarding the Department of Education and Training of Hiep Hoa district, the district leaders requested to continue directing Mai Trung Kindergarten No. 2 to review and arrange classroom facilities at Cam Trang village school and Mai Phong school for children to study; arrange staff and teachers at the two schools.

In recent months, 200 students of Mai Trung Kindergarten No. 2 in Cam Trang village have not yet come to class. Parents have objected to sending more than 60 5-year-old students to the main kindergarten of Mai Trung commune located in Mai Phong village due to the long distance and difficulty of travel, and fear that the government will abolish the village school.

In addition, local people believe that the construction of 6 more preschool classes in Mai Phong village is unreasonable and against planning because this locality has a small population, with the number of students only half that of Cam Trang village school.
