Mr. Duong Tat Thang, Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), said so at the press conference on the international exhibition specializing in animal husbandry and animal feed in Vietnam (Vietstock 2025) held on September 12.
Mr. Thang said that at this year's exhibition, the organizers bring the world 's newest and most modern livestock technology that can be applied to livestock farming in our country.
According to Mr. Thang, at the exhibition there will be a Chinese high-rise pig farming model, a system using artificial intelligence in environmental management, disease warning...
Mr. Thang added that recently two corporations have proposed building a "pig-raising apartment" model in our country.
"Basically, raising pigs in high-rise buildings in our country is not prohibited. About 20 years ago, in Quoc Oai ( Hanoi ), there was a unit raising pigs in high-rise buildings.
Raising pigs in multi-storey buildings in Vietnam is a new issue. After a business proposed it, the ministry reported and asked for the Government's opinion. The Government encouraged and supported this and when doing so, it must comply with regulations and standards on raising pigs in high-rise buildings," Mr. Thang said, adding that the ministry had received approval from the Government to go to China to study and learn the "pig-raising apartment" model.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao, Senior Project Manager of Informa Markets Group, said that the unit has worked with European businesses, especially China - whose livestock farming conditions are quite similar to Vietnam's - to bring to the exhibition high-tech farm models that can be applied in our country.
"At the exhibition, there will be small, medium and large scale farm models, so we expect new farming technologies to be applied to all types of farming from small to large in Vietnam," said Ms. Thao.
According to the organizers, the Vietstock 2025 exhibition will take place from October 8 to 10 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.
Expected to gather more than 300 exhibitors from 40 countries, over 13,000 m² of exhibition space. This impressive scale promises to bring businesses the opportunity to connect, cooperate and lead in the rapidly growing livestock industry.
