Thien Cam Sea Fish Market

Thien Cam beach has long been famous for its long , smooth sand and many kinds of fresh seafood. But many tourists from far away do not know that right next to Thien Cam there is also a fish market that opens early, very interesting for those who love to explore .

That is Cam Nhuong fish market, also known as Con Go fish market, in Cam Nhuong commune (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province). From Thien Cam tourist area (Thien Cam town, Cam Xuyen district), continue along the coast for 1 km to the sand dunes along the breakwater to find the fish market.

According to records, this fishing port has been associated with the name Nhuong Ban land (concession land) for hundreds of years, and in 1956 was named Cam Nhuong commune.

Every day at around 4am, hundreds of fishing boats from Cam Nhuong commune and neighboring areas flock to this area to sell fresh fish that have just been caught during the night. Each session, the amount of fish traded is several tons, creating a very lively, beautiful atmosphere full of the culture of the coastal villagers.

Work at the fish market is very hard. Seafood from the ship must be transported by bamboo baskets to the beach. Buyers and sellers rush to exchange money and goods, then transfer them to retail markets. On rainy days, the "trading" activities of people at the fish market are quite tiring. In the rain, sometimes drilling, sometimes picking, the "traders" wear hats and boots to hurry to buy and sell, but joy is still in their eyes.
