Finalize the schedule for the national excellent student exam for the 2024-2025 school year

According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training , the national high school excellent student selection exam will take place in 2 days, December 25-26.

In the previous school year, according to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of candidates registered to take the national exam for excellent students was 5,819. Among the subjects, Literature and English had the most candidates, with about 640 candidates.

In the national high school student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year, in addition to grade 11 and 12 students, 43 grade 10 students won prizes. However, most of the grade 10 students won low prizes (4 students won first prizes, 7 students won second prizes, 7 students won third prizes and 25 students won encouragement prizes), mainly focusing on the subject of Information Technology.

The best achievements are 2 First prizes in Information Technology (students from Da Nang and students from the High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences - Hanoi National University), 1 First prize in Geography (student from Thanh Hoa) and 1 First prize in Literature (students from high school of Ho Chi Minh City National University).

The Ministry of Education and Training said that the national excellent student selection exam is organized to encourage and motivate teachers and students to promote their creativity; contribute to promoting the improvement and enhancement of teaching and learning quality; and at the same time discover students with aptitude for subjects to create a source of training, realizing the goal of training talents for the country.
