The investor has made initial comments regarding the proposal to put into operation early nearly 70 km of the North-South expressway, Van Phong - Nha Trang section.

Regarding the contractor's proposal to put into operation early nearly 70 km of the North-South expressway, Van Phong - Nha Trang section, in an exchange with Giao Thong Newspaper, a representative of Project Management Board 7 (investor) said that the unit has currently received the contractor's petition information.

A section of the Van Phong - Nha Trang highway has been completed.

"It is expected that tomorrow, the investor will work with the contractors; At the same time, they will inspect, review, and re-evaluate the site, legal procedures, conditions for putting into use and exploitation according to the provisions of law and report to the Ministry of Transport for consideration," said the leader of Project Management Board 7.

According to this person, to ensure exploitation conditions, the project must go through many steps such as: traffic safety inspection, establishing maintenance management records, and inviting the State Acceptance Council to inspect the project acceptance work.

"The project will only be put into service for the people when it meets all technical standards and assessment and acceptance conditions according to the conclusion of the competent authority," affirmed the leader of Project Management Board 7.

Previously, the leaders of Son Hai Group Co., Ltd., Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation - Vinaconex - Lizen Joint Stock Company jointly signed document No. 01/CV-LDNT sent to the Ministry of Transport and Project Management Board 7 on bringing nearly 70 km of Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway from Nha Trang - Cam Lam project to Van Gia intersection before January 10, 2025.

The document states: According to the initial schedule, the project will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025. However, currently, the contractor consortium is performing ahead of schedule.

"We affirm that we will complete the entire construction project (including the service road, branch road,...) of the 68.35km long section from Van Gia intersection (Km300+000) connecting to Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway before January 10, 2025.

In order to put the project into operation soon, promote investment efficiency and especially serve people's travel needs during the Lunar New Year, it is recommended that the Ministry of Transport and Project Management Board 7 have a plan and direct relevant units to complete the necessary procedures to put the route into operation before January 10, 2025," the contractor consortium proposed.

The North-South Expressway, Van Phong - Nha Trang section, has a total length of more than 83km, passing through Khanh Hoa province.

In the phased phase, the project will be invested in a scale of 4 lanes, 17m wide and maximum speed of 90km/h. The total investment is more than 11,800 billion VND.

Currently, this is one of the component projects with the fastest construction progress among the 12 component projects of the North-South Eastern Expressway Project Phase 2. It is expected that the project will be completed on April 30, 2025, in accordance with the Prime Minister 's direction, shortening the construction time by about 8 months compared to the original plan.
