MobiFone Chairman appointed as Director of Central Policy and Strategy Department

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien, Chairman of MobiFone Board of Directors, was appointed as Director of the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee.

At the recent conference to implement the Decision of the Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee on personnel work, Deputy Head Pham Dai Duong presented the decision to receive and appoint Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien - Chairman of the Board of Directors of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien was appointed to hold the position of Director of the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee.

Mr. Hien was born in 1974, is introduced as a master of Banking and Finance Law at Queen Mary, University of London (UK). He has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation since June 2022.

Before joining MobiFone, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien held the position of Head of the Department of Technology and Infrastructure under the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises. He worked at the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) since 2007 and became Deputy General Director in 2014.

In 2024, the report of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises said that MobiFone's consolidated pre-tax profit is estimated to reach VND 2,048 billion, exceeding the annual plan by 20.6%. In addition, the network's digital service sectors also grew strongly with MobiFone Meet (up 1,050%), Cloud (up 312%), mobiAgri (up 49%), MobiFone Invoice (up 58%).

This year, the company targets parent company revenue of VND23,938 billion and pre-tax profit of VND1,498 billion.
