
At the meeting, the two sides expressed their joy and appreciation for the positive developments in the relations between the two Parties and the two countries in recent times, especially since the historic official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in late October 2022; high-level and all-level exchanges and contacts took place vigorously, achieving many important new results, political trust was strengthened, economic and trade cooperation was promoted, and Chinese investment in Vietnam reached a new high. The two sides discussed specific measures to implement the agreements of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, continuing to promote and deepen the friendship and cooperation in all fields.
President Vo Van Thuong affirmed that Vietnam and China are close neighbors, with similarities in political institutions, development paths and the goal of building socialism. The Party, State and people of Vietnam attach importance to consolidating and developing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with the Party, State and people of China, considering this a strategic choice and top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification.
The President suggested that the two sides continue to closely coordinate in the coming time, prepare well for high-level delegation exchanges; strengthen cooperation between ministries, departments, branches and localities of the two countries; promote substantive cooperation in all fields, and maintain good momentum in economic and trade cooperation. The President suggested that China continue to facilitate the expansion of imports of Vietnamese agricultural products and increase investment in Vietnam with large projects that represent China's development level. At the same time, strengthen cooperation in connecting road and railway infrastructure, promote digital economic cooperation, improve capacity for developing digital infrastructure and digital human resources; expand cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges to consolidate the foundation of long-term friendship for bilateral relations.
Based on the high-level common perception, the President suggested that the two sides control and satisfactorily resolve disagreements and existing problems in bilateral relations in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law, for the interests of the two peoples, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.

Member of the Politburo Standing Committee, Secretary of the Secretariat, and Chief of the Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Cai Qi, affirmed that Vietnam and China are important neighbors, sharing broad common interests. China always considers Vietnam a priority direction in its neighborly diplomacy policy, and is ready to work with Vietnam to strengthen strategic exchanges, promote and orient the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries to continuously develop sustainably and long-term.
Comrade Thai Ky suggested that the two sides strengthen exchange activities through Party, State and people-to-people channels, further deepening the friendship between the people of the two countries; agreed to promote the expansion of economic and trade cooperation, transport infrastructure connection, and cooperation in the digital economy; encourage Chinese enterprises to continue expanding investment in Vietnam; improve the frequency and quality of cooperation between localities; and actively contribute to the development of the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
