On the afternoon of September 26, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung led a working delegation of the province to inspect and urge contractors to speed up the construction progress of Component Project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project Phase 1 (referred to as Component Project 1).

Inspecting the starting point of component project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project phase 1 in Vinh Te ward, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung directed to resolutely resolve all problems and ensure the completion of the project in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of contractors and the Project Management Board in speeding up the construction progress of component project 1. He emphasized that this is a national key traffic project, playing a vital role in connecting and promoting the socio -economic development of the province and the Mekong Delta region.

The two biggest problems at present are the supply of sand and stone. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the Project Management Board to complete the procedures to immediately supply 500,000m³ of sand from Tan My mine (according to legal regulations); at the same time, the units need to ensure the source of stone for construction.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the entire project component 1 must be technically opened to traffic before December 10, 2025. Auxiliary items such as fences, guardrails, traffic safety systems, etc. must be given priority to be completed before this deadline in order to complete the entire project before December 19, 2025 in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.

According to the An Giang Provincial Project Management Board, to date, the total output of the four main construction packages has reached 59.81%, slightly exceeding the contract value. The value of the implemented output is estimated at about VND 5,018 billion out of the total investment of VND 8,391 billion.
