At the meeting, 11 citizens involved in 10 cases submitted petitions to the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee. The petitions mainly focused on land issues such as requests for granting land use right certificates, additional land allocation, land dispute resolution, and compensation and support for site clearance.
This is the citizen reception session with the lowest number of people coming to make petitions so far. The reason is that many petitions have been directed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to be completely handled in 2023.
At the citizen reception session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung acknowledged the recommendations and requested departments, branches and localities to report in detail the cases and the handling process. At the same time, he requested the competent agencies and local authorities to continue to review and inspect the situation, carefully study the legal regulations, and resolve responsibly, ensuring the rights of citizens; the Department of Justice directed the Legal Aid Center to support citizens in the process of implementing the recommendations.
Also at the citizen reception session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung highly appreciated the responsibility of the members of the Advisory Council for Citizen Reception and Complaints and Denunciations Resolution, along with the leaders of departments, branches and localities who have made efforts in the past year, actively reviewed and handled many recommendations in a timely and lawful manner, ensuring citizens' rights.
In addition, the facilities of the citizen reception office have been invested in and upgraded, including the application of information technology such as software investment, screens displaying lists, citizen reception order; petition content, directive documents, and processing process, ensuring transparency and responsibility, helping citizens to access conveniently.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung also requested the Provincial Citizen Reception Committee to soon organize seminars and conferences to draw experience from the task of receiving citizens, in which it is necessary to objectively evaluate the results achieved; existing problems and difficulties to propose solutions to overcome them, and at the same time reward and commend agencies, units and localities that promptly and effectively resolve recommendations.
In 2024, leaders and civil servants of departments and branches need to continue to promote their responsibility in advising the Provincial People's Committee to organize citizen receptions and resolve petitions. Local government leaders should enhance their responsibility in resolving petitions at the grassroots level, not letting the case drag on, affecting citizens' rights.
