This is the second year that the University of Water Resources has been chosen as the venue for the qualifying round of the Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament in the northern region. Over the past few months, the parties have regularly held meetings to discuss the organization and closely coordinated to ensure that all tasks are ensured. To prepare for the opening ceremony, one day before, Thanh Nien Newspaper and the University of Water Resources will carefully rehearse the event, ensuring careful logistics, sound, and reception of guests, participating teams, press, media, and fans. In particular, the University of Water Resources pays great attention to cleaning the field and ensuring a beautiful image for the tournament.
Thuyloi University met to finalize preparations for the qualifying round.
"The entire school has been preparing the facilities since last year, from the smallest details such as the quality of the grass, the field lines, the parking lot, the restroom area... when hosting the northern qualifying round, because we clearly understand that this is the face of the University of Water Resources, contributing to building a professional and systematic image for the student football movement across the country," shared Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet, Vice Principal of the University of Water Resources.

At the meeting to finalize the organization of the northern qualifying round, Mr. Nguyen Trung Viet and the tournament's executive board reviewed the items, paying special attention to security and medical issues. " Thanh Nien Newspaper, Thuy Loi University and Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) have made a detailed plan for the organization in terms of security, medical and professional aspects... The parties have agreed to complete negotiations with partners to prepare security forces to protect the match, be on duty throughout the match and the opening and closing ceremonies, ensuring that the matches take place in a civilized and safe manner in accordance with the spirit of "playing fair, winning fair, cheering beautifully". Medical work is also focused on by Thuy Loi University. No one wants medical incidents in the matches, but the organizing committee is always ready to act, ensuring the health of the participating teams. Medical work needs to be carefully reviewed throughout the qualifying round, meeting professional standards", emphasized the leader of Thuy Loi University.
C CHEERING SYSTEMATICLY AND ENTHUSIASTICALLY
Thuyloi University is considered to have rich experience in organizing student football tournaments, with a long-standing sports tradition. "The happiest thing is when the Thuyloi University team competes away from home, like in the final round of the first Vietnamese Youth Student Football Tournament - 2023, the players always receive enthusiastic cheers. That shows that the love of grassroots football has penetrated deeply into the student community. This is the driving force that urges Thuyloi University not only to compete better, but also to organize the tournament properly as the host. We will make efforts because this is also an opportunity for Thuyloi University to show its enthusiastic and energetic image," Vice Principal Nguyen Trung Viet assessed.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Viet chaired the meeting.
According to Coach Vu Van Trung, the fan base will be the fulcrum for the success of not only Thuy Loi University, but also the entire tournament: "The matches in the qualifying round of the TNSV THACO Cup 2024 will have a large number of students and fans coming to watch and cheer. Many weeks before the tournament, the school leaders, the Youth Union, and the Student Association have stirred up the movement, mobilizing students to "fuel" the teams participating in the tournament. Besides organizing a strong team of fans and volunteers, we also plan to organize cheerleading groups to cheer systematically, creating a fiery atmosphere for the matches."
The opening ceremony of the northern qualifying round will take place on February 26, to send a "signal" for the intense competition to win 2 tickets to the final round of 9 very strong representatives in the North.
