Special art and political program 'The Words He Left Behind' will air live at 8:10 p.m. today

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament and the 55th anniversary of his death (September 2, 1969 - September 2, 2024), the Central Propaganda Department and Vietnam Television jointly organized a special political and artistic program with the theme "His Last Words".

Before passing away, beloved Uncle Ho left our entire Party, people and army a sacred Testament expressing his wishes, feelings, will, belief and responsibility for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

His will, though only 1,000 words long, contains a great theoretical and practical summary of the glorious revolutionary career of the nation, the Party, the people, the country, the world, and his own personal affairs.

Although, He humbly wrote: "I leave these few words to my compatriots and comrades", the Will is a special historical document. The main idea covered in the Will is: "Nothing is more precious than independence, freedom", peace, unity, democracy and a rich people, a strong country; all for the cause of national liberation, social liberation, human liberation, for human happiness.

Although his will is only 1,000 words long, it contains a great theoretical and practical summary of the glorious revolutionary career of the nation, the Party, the people, the country, the world, and his own personal affairs. At the same time, it is a theoretical design of innovation and development, orienting the development path of the Vietnamese revolution in the future, with the highest goal being to move towards the mastery and happiness of the people.

The will is a document that crystallizes the thoughts, culture, intelligence, morality and noble soul, expressing the stature of the will of a man, a great personality "who has brought glory to our nation, our people and our country". President Ho Chi Minh's teachings 55 years later still hold true to modern times.

He reminded us of the most fundamental issue to ensure that the Party is worthy of its leadership role and responsibility in power, which is Party building, caring for people's lives, and nurturing and building the next generation of youth. Building people with ethics and culture is the core and center to realize the will, towards the goal: "Our entire Party and people unite to strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, and make a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause."
