Special art program to celebrate the 110th birthday of Professor, Academician Tran Dai Nghia

On the evening of September 12, at the Memorial Area of Professor, Academician Tran Dai Nghia (My Phu 1 Hamlet, Tuong Loc Commune, Tam Binh District, Vinh Long Province), a special art program took place to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the birth of Professor, Academician, Major General, Hero of Labor Tran Dai Nghia (September 13, 1913 - September 13, 2023).

The program is built with 3 chapters: Ambition, Commitment and Heavy Homeland; produced by Vinh Long Provincial Radio and Television Station.

In the duration of about 90 minutes, 13 impressive and unique singing and dancing performances, stage performances... have summarized the life and career of the outstanding son of Vinh Long in particular and of the Vietnamese people in general, the person who was given the extremely meaningful name by beloved Uncle Ho Tran Dai Nghia. Those are brilliant milestones of youthful ambitions, aspirations to contribute talent and intelligence for peace , independence and freedom for the country and people. Thereby, expressing deep affection, respect and gratitude for the great contributions of Professor, Academician, Major General, Hero of Labor Tran Dai Nghia to the cause of national liberation struggle, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The history of Vinh Long has spanned nearly 300 years, from Long Ho Dinh to present-day Vinh Long province, a place of outstanding people and geography that has produced many talented people for the country, among them the great scientist of the Vietnamese revolution - Professor, Academician, Major General, Hero of Labor Tran Dai Nghia, a shining example of revolutionary heroism, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation and national unification.

Professor, Academician, Major General, Hero of Labor Tran Dai Nghia, whose birth name was Pham Quang Le, was born on September 13, 1913, in Chanh Hiep village, Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province (now Hoa Hiep commune, Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province). Born into a family of teachers, orphaned at a young age, but with his intelligence and strong will, he strived to overcome his circumstances to realize his ideals and ambitions.

With 6 university degrees and certificates from many prestigious universities in France, a bright future was opening up before his eyes, but thanks to early determination of his study goals to return to serve the Fatherland and the people, and at the same time, admiring the lifelong example of President Ho Chi Minh for the country and the people, Pham Quang Le gave up everything to return to the country with him, joining the nation's long and arduous resistance war.

With 51 years of continuous revolutionary activities, the life of Pham Quang Le - Tran Dai Nghia is closely associated with the glorious and heroic history of the Party and the nation. Having held many important positions inside and outside the Army, no matter what position he held, he always showed himself to be a talented military scientist, worthy of being an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh.

His whole life was devoted to his homeland, country and people. His personality, good qualities and great contributions are a shining example for the Vietnamese youth generation in general and the youth of Vinh Long province in particular to learn, continue and promote their youth in the current work of protecting and building their homeland and country.
