ASKA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. announced its registration to buy nearly 2.2 million DHT shares of Ha Tay Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (code DHT, HNX floor) to increase ownership. The transaction is expected to be carried out from December 3 to December 31, 2024 through negotiation and order matching methods.

Currently, ASKA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd is the largest shareholder of Ha Tay Pharmaceutical, holding more than 29.3 million shares, equivalent to 35.61% of charter capital. If the transaction is successful, this unit will increase its ownership to nearly 31.5 million shares, equivalent to 38.2%.

Japanese shareholders have been continuously placing purchase orders recently. Just recently, ASKA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd successfully purchased 500,000 DHT shares as registered. After the transaction, this foreign shareholder increased its ownership in Ha Tay Pharmaceutical from more than 28.8 million shares (35%) to more than 29.3 million shares (35.6%). In early November, this shareholder successfully made a public purchase offer for 9,000 DHT shares from an investor. After the public purchase offer, ASKA Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd increased its ownership rate to 35%.

At the end of the third quarter of 2024, Ha Tay Pharmaceutical recorded net revenue of VND 544 billion, an increase of 14% over the same period (VND 478.8 billion) and profit after tax of VND 20.2 billion, an increase of 8% over the same period last year (VND 18.7 billion).

Accumulated for the first 9 months of 2024, Ha Tay Pharmaceutical's revenue increased slightly from 1,525 billion to 1,544 billion, profit after tax reached nearly 55 billion, down 24% over the same period (72 billion), mainly due to the simultaneous increase in sales and business management expenses.

In 2024, the company plans to achieve total revenue of VND 1,769 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 78.5 billion. Thus, with pre-tax profit of nearly VND 68 billion in the first 9 months, the company has completed nearly 87% of the year's target.

On the stock market, DHT stock price closed on November 29, 2024 at VND 90,500/share - the highest level in history and more than 4 times higher than at the end of last year.
