Mr. Hien's bank shares suddenly traded, hundreds of millions of units 'changed hands'

In the morning session of March 14 alone,SHB shares recorded more than 120 million units matched. By the beginning of the afternoon session, there were still more than 17 million units left to buy.

The stock market's upward momentum this morning was mainly supported by the banking and real estate groups. Most other sectors lost points.

Particularly in the banking group, the most notable is the ceiling increase of SHB code. This code has a sudden change in liquidity when more than 120 million units were matched in the morning session.

Meanwhile, data shows that SHB's average trading volume over the past month is at 25 million units.

With a maximum increase (7%), SHB's market price reached 10,700 VND - the highest price in more than a year. The transaction value corresponding to the above sudden volume is about 1,300 billion VND.

SHB is a bank chaired by Mr. Do Quang Hien (Mr. Hien). On March 10, SHB reported to the State Securities Commission the results of the share issuance to pay dividends in 2023.

SHB has distributed more than 402 million shares to 90,430 shareholders. The bank's charter capital has increased to about 40,650 billion VND.

Today is also the time SHB closes the shareholder list to prepare for the 2025 annual general meeting of shareholders taking place at the end of April.

Along with the banking group, VCB increased points again, contributing positively to the VN-Index. In the early afternoon session, the credit institution group also differentiated quite strongly with a series of codes in the adjustment range.

As of 1:30 p.m., real estate stocks were still on an upward trend with notable price increases of VIC (+2.14%), VHM (+2.09%), CEO (+2.7%), PDR (+2.78%), DXG (+3.43%)... In particular, Novaland 's NVL also hit the ceiling (+6.7%).

The downside of this session is that foreign investors continue to sell net. Net selling force today is stronger with more than 530 billion VND, even though there is still more than 1 hour left until the end of the session.

FPT shares continued to be the focus of strong foreign selling, with a net selling value of nearly 500 billion VND, far exceeding the remaining stocks. DBC was sold the second most, with only about 170 billion VND.
