Novaland shares at highest level in over a year, "survival" project unstuck

(Dan Tri) - Novaland shares have been performing positively recently, nearly doubling in price in just 2 months.

In the stock trading session on June 18, NVL shares of Novaland Group continued to increase to 15,600 VND/unit, the 5th consecutive session of increase. This price is the highest in more than a year and nearly doubled in the last 2 months.

The stock's growth momentum continues as many projects make progress in resolving legal issues. Most recently, the Aqua City project in Dong Nai was approved to partially adjust the detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/500 for its component projects, including the Aqua City urban area and the Aqua Waterfront City urban area.

At the same time, the dossier of the task of adjusting the detailed planning 1/500 of the high-end commercial service urban area of ​​Cu Lao Phuoc Hung in Tam Phuoc ward, Bien Hoa city (Phoenix subdivision) was also officially approved according to the decision of the People's Committee of Bien Hoa city.

With the above decisions, the entire legal part of the Aqua City project has been completed in accordance with regulations, ensuring consistency between the C4 Sub-zone Planning levels at a scale of 1/5,000 and the Bien Hoa City General Planning 1/10,000 (approved in November 2024). From here, the Aqua City project is facilitated to continue implementation.

In another development, in the VN30 group, STB ( Sacombank ) shares increased the most, up 2.61% to 47,200 VND/unit. Liquidity of this code reached nearly 12.9 million shares. STB's positive performance also strongly affected the index.

Regarding Sacombank, Ms. Nguyen Duc Thach Diem has just resigned from the Board of Directors (BOD) of the bank after leaving the position of General Director. The Board of Directors of this bank also decided to authorize the Chairman of the Board of Directors to allocate the bank's reward fund to reward Ms. Diem, recognizing her contributions during her time as General Director.

Following STB, the green color of some other stocks in the VN30 group such as VHM, TCB, HPG, ACB, VIC also contributed positively to the general index.

On the contrary, FPT with a decrease of 1.52% was the stock with the most negative impact on the market today. This code was also the most net sold by foreign investors with a value of more than 153 billion VND. Along with FPT were the codes VPB, LPB, MWG, EIB.

At the end of the session, the VN30 group kept the green color, pulling the VN-Index close to the reference level. The VN-Index decreased by 0.86 points to 1,346.83 points. Some stocks on the HoSE went against the market, keeping the purple color until the end of the session such as BCG, FCM, LGL, LDG and TCD.
