In this program, the "earth-shattering" events of 1954 are told through the lens of their descendants.

There are stories from famous people and stories that are published for the first time. There are also stories from military researchers and soldiers on the other side of the battle line.

My father was a Dien Bien Phu soldier, starting with the story of Lieutenant General Pham Hong Son - the creator of the famous siege and attack tactic.

When the enemy was captured, they asked Mr. Son, "Where did you learn to fight so well?" He replied, "I am just a student of the Indochina Law School, trained through war" and "Our greatest school is the school of patriotism."

During the program, his son also recounted his father's message to the next generation.

In the latest episode on April 13, the program met the descendants of engineer Luu Viet Thoang - the commander who dug the tunnel to transport 960kg of explosives on hill A1.

His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren went to Dien Bien to visit their father's old battlefield and saw how "beyond imagination" it was.

A series of reports produced by VTV, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. The program has had four episodes so far.
