Ho Chi Minh City police seized 80 red books when searching the house of 'Ngan 98'.

During the search of the residence of Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan (also known as Ngan 98) - the subject in the case of "Production and trading of counterfeit food products", Ho Chi Minh City Police seized 80 red books, foreign currency, savings books and many related evidences.

On the evening of October 15, Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that on October 13-14, the Investigation Police Agency ( Economic Police Department) coordinated with the City People's Procuracy to search the residence of Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan, a defendant in the case of "Production and trading of counterfeit food products" which is being expanded.

There, the authorities discovered a safe, but Ngan and her family could not provide the code. The investigation agency sealed the safe and brought it back to the headquarters to unlock it according to regulations. As a result, they seized 80 red books, more than 8,000 USD, 4 bank savings books, many related evidences and temporarily detained 2 cars.

Currently, the police are verifying and clarifying the origin of the above assets.

Previously, Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan had an uncooperative attitude, repeatedly delayed, resisted summons requests and gave a roundabout statement.

Ho Chi Minh City police affirmed that they will strictly handle violations of the law and acts of resistance against authorities.
